FGBI "ARRIAH" was awarded a letter of thanks from JSC "Nadezhda" in connection with the provision of scientific advisory and practical assistance

In a letter to the Federal Center for Animal HEALTH, which is subordinate to the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR, Joint-Stock Company Nadezhda expressed gratitude to the Center for fruitful cooperation related to solving the problems of immunoprophylaxis of actinobacillus pleuropneumonia in pigs at the enterprise and providing scientific and advisory assistance on infectious pathology of pigs.

Porcine actinobacillus pleuropneumonia (APP) is a disease that causes great economic damage to pig enterprises in the Russian Federation. Measures to combat and prevent this disease often do not bring the expected results due to the difficult selection of antibacterial biologics, which in practice will optimally affect the APP pathogen, which exhibits low sensitivity and resistance to them. Also, due to the diversity of the antigenic structure of the APP pathogen, vaccines for the specific prevention of this disease, presented on the market for biological products, are not always effective. These factors create great difficulties for practicing veterinarians and managers of pig farms.

it was noted that the provision of practical and scientific advisory assistance by specialists from the laboratory for the prevention of diseases of pigs and cattle of the FGBI "ARRIAH", together with the use of the vaccine against actinobacillus pleuropneumonia in pigs, produced by the FGBI "ARRIAH", made it possible to significantly increase the economic indicators at the enterprise and reduce the number of antibacterial drugs, aimed at curing the disease.

Nadezhda JSC thanked for the contribution to improving the epizootic situation at the enterprise and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation between organizations.
