In the Republic of Altai, nine farmers from the Shebalinsky, Ust-Kansky and Ongudaysky districts purchased more than three hundred heads of Hereford and Kazakh white-headed breeding cattle from organizations engaged in livestock breeding with funds received for the development of the farm under the grant support "Agrostartup" .

The Agrostartup competition, which provides grant support to new farms, is implemented through the activities of the “Creation of a support system for farmers and the development of rural cooperation” of the national project “Small and medium-sized businesses and support for individual entrepreneurial initiatives”.

Minister of Agriculture of the region Andrei Tsygulev noted that those who only plan to start farming can apply for this grant.

“For the peasants of the Altai Republic, this is a good help to start their own business and develop further,” he stressed.

In 2021, more than 51 million rubles were allocated to support farmers and cooperation as part of the implementation of the national project, including 35 million rubles to implement Agrostartup grants and 16 million rubles to support cooperatives.
