International Dairy Week in Uglich was held at the All-Russian Research Institute of Butter and Cheese Making with the support of the National Union of Milk Producers.
This year, approximately 90 dairy enterprises from Russia and Belarus participated in the competition.
The Grand Prix was won by Vologda butter and milk for schoolchildren, produced at the Educational and Experimental Dairy Plant of the N.V. Vereshchagin VGMHA. Regional enterprises were also awarded eight gold and four silver medals.
"Vologda producers once again confirmed their status as the best in the country's dairy sector. Dairy Week in Uglich is more than just an industry forum where topical development issues and innovative production technologies are discussed. It is a showcase of achievements and a confirmation of quality and taste. And in this regard, the Vologda region always excels," notedSergey Voropaev, Minister of Agriculture of the Vologda Region, said, "Our companies present their products annually at Dairy Week and win top awards. Experts highly praised not only traditional products but also specialized nutrition for children."
The competition winners will be included in the prestigious "Dairy Pride of Russia" catalog. The dairy industry remains a priority for the region's agricultural development. In 2025, 69.9 million rubles were allocated to support milk processors, and food industry companies received additional support for equipment purchases and loan programs. These measures contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security," initiated by the President of Russia.
