By 2030, all unused lands in Kuzbass will be put into agricultural circulation

The region is constantly working to put agricultural land into economic circulation. The plan for the current year provides for the development of 20.3 thousand hectares.
"In 2018, we conducted an audit of the fields in the region that were previously used by farmers and are now empty. it turned out to be more than 300 thousand hectares. Of these, 177 thousand hectares have already been developed, and about 130 thousand hectares remain. The return of land gives us the opportunity not only to fully provide Kuzbass with grain and vegetables, but also to EXPORT them to other regions. In the first half of the year alone, farmers put more than 11 thousand hectares into circulation, another 10.93 thousand hectares will be put into circulation by the end of the year," said Kuzbass Governor Ilya Seredyuk.
Agricultural enterprises of the Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Krapivinsky, Topkinsky, Belovsky, Prokopyevsk, and Promyshlennovsky districts have exceeded the plan. Gurevsky, Novokuznetsky, Tisulsky, Chebulinsky districts fulfilled the plan by 100%.
In Gurevsky, Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Promyshlennovsky municipal districts, where all arable land is used in economic turnover, in order to expand the sown areas, it is planned to change the structure of crop rotations towards reducing the share of forage crops and involving hayfields and pastures in arable land.
