In various areas of support, the growth ranged from 2 to 8 times. The corresponding adjustments were made by order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Chuvashia dated July 10, 2024 No. 146.
“Decisions on changes in state support were made after discussion with industry specialists, the expert council, and social activists in order to systematically follow the objectives of the Hop Growing Development Strategy, which we have developed until 2035. it is important for us to create all opportunities for investors and increase the area of hop fields from the current 137 hectares to 2000,” noted the Deputy Prime Minister,Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergei Artamonov.
In particular, rates for planting hop fields have doubled compared to the previous year - this is a federal support measure. For each hectare, producers will receive up to 501.1 thousand rubles, but not more than 80% of the costs, for Russian seedlings. And 978.9 thousand rubles, but not more than 30%, for foreign ones.
In addition, with a federal subsidy, hop growers can return part of the costs of planting hop fields and building hop trellises. Using Russian seedlings, this is 1847.6 thousand rubles. per 1 hectare, but not more than 80% of the costs and 2326.4 thousand rubles, but not more than 30% of the costs using foreign seedlings.
After planting and before commercial fruiting, hop growers also receive federal subsidies for care: 265.7 thousand rubles per hectare, but not more than 80% of the invested funds. The amount is almost 8 times more than last year.
As soon as the crop is ripe and the farmer sells it to the buyer, the agricultural producer will again be able to claim payments. The amount of compensation will be determined at the end of the year, based on the volume of hops received in Chuvashia. 18.5 million rubles are allocated for this area in 2024, which is 3.7% more than last year.
What kind of government support, in addition to specialized support, can hop growers receive:
- purchase of machines, installations, sprinklers and irrigation devices, pumping stations as part of irrigation and drainage measures (50% of costs are reimbursed);
- cultural and technical measures on abandoned agricultural lands involved in agricultural turnover, liming of acidic soils on arable land (90% of costs);
- reimbursement of 50% of the insurance premium (contributions) accrued under insurance contracts in the field of crop production;
- preferential lending (up to 6.8% per annum for priority areas, namely for small businesses (peasant farms, all agricultural production cooperatives, companies with revenue of no more than 200.0 million rubles per year); up to 10% for non-priority ones (for all other organizations):
short-term loans (up to 1 year) for seasonal work and for the purchase of Russian hops;
investment loans:
for a period of 2 to 5 years for the purchase of tractors, agricultural machinery and machines used in crop production, including hops. ;
for a period of 2 to 8 years for the purchase and installation of a trellis for hops, the construction of hop processing facilities, facilities for part-time processing, storage and transshipment of hop products, planting and care of perennial plantings.
