More than 90 thousand tons of vegetables have been harvested in greenhouses near Moscow since the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of 2021, more than 90 thousand tons of vegetable crops have been harvested in greenhouse agricultural organizations of the Moscow Region. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the region Sergei Voskresensky.

“Today, the gross harvest of greenhouse vegetables in the farms of the Moscow region is 91.5 thousand tons. The greenhouses collected more than 8.2 thousand tons more than the same date last year. More than 58.2 thousand tons of cucumbers, 32.4 thousand tons of tomatoes, and about 1 thousand tons of other vegetable crops were produced,” Sergei Voskresensky said.

The leaders in the production of protected ground vegetables are: "Agrokultura Group" from the urban district of Kashira, "Lukhovitsky vegetables" and "Ivanisovo" from Elektrostal, greenhouses of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky enterprise "Agrarnoye", Odintsovo "Agronom" and "Matveevskoye".

Earlier, Sergei Voskresensky reported that in the ranking of Russian regions in terms of the gross harvest of vegetables in winter greenhouses, the Moscow region has confidently taken 2nd place since the beginning of this year.
