The farm of Murat Bambatkhanov specializes in fattening bulls of meat breeds of cattle. At the time of filming, the livestock was 200 heads, but before the start of the slaughter company, this figure reached 350 heads.
As a rule, bulls of the Kalmyk breed, Simmental, Red Steppe and Kazakh white-headed are bought at the age of 1-1.5 years, and fattened for another 7-10 months.
On the territory of the farm there is a slaughter shop, after which the meat of bulls is sold on the local market. However, at the request of the buyers , the farmercan sell a bull in live weight. The meat is sold only in bulk, and at the time of filming the price was 370 rubles per kilogram.
For one year of fattening, the farm needs 10,000 bales of hay, which is purchased from other farmers. In addition, the diet of bulls includes corn-20%, barley -30%, wheat - 50%, as well as premixes.
On average, one head per day accounts for 5-7 kg. stern.
According to Murat, the addition of premixes and vitamins to the diet of bulls increases the rate of weight gain. The consumption of premixes is 10 kg. per ton of food.
A 5-cubic-meter feed mixer and a grain crusher with a capacity of 25 kW are installed on the farm for the production of feed mixtures.
A walking area for bulls is being built on the territory of the farm, with dimensions of 10x30 meters, the walls of which are made of concrete 20 cm thick. This is due to the fact that the service life of such a fence is higher than that of pipes and mesh, in addition, such a blind fence protects bulls from injury . A dormitory for workers is being built next to the site, which will allow you to constantly monitor the animals.
