Loose housing of Ayrshire cows. Dairy cows of Alexander Moskvin
Photo is illustrative in nature. From open sources.

The second video about the farm of Alexander Moskvin is dedicated to the dairy herd. We will look at the conditions of a dairy herd of 200 Ayrshire cows.
The farm has a loose stall, and despite the lack of a leash, each cow knows her place.

The halls are slightly different in arrangement - different coverage of the fodder table, different mats. We learned which mats and which coverage is best. We talked about the impact of the abnormal summer heat that prevailed in the Leningrad Region in the summer of 2021. Did you find out which way of harvesting hay is better: in a long sausage or individual rolls?

For the first time we saw a herd of horned eyrshirok, it just so happened: they were bought by heifers when it was already too late to dehorn. So now a whole horned herd of airshirs lives. But they are gradually being phased out.

Artificial insemination is used. Although there is a demand for mestizos, so it will be possible to cover Ayrshire with Aberdeen.
In the next issue we will watch beef cattle - Aberdeen Angus, with which Alexander began.
