The 27th Agro-Industrial Forum of the South of RUSSIA, which was held with the support of the government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region on the territory of the DonExpocenter, ended in Rostov-on-Don. Within the framework of the agricultural forum, specialized exhibitions “Interagromash” and “Agrotechnologies” and a number of business events were held.
At the exhibition area of 23,000 sq. m. 180 samples of the latest agricultural machinery and 130 brands of agrochemical products were presented. More than 190 agricultural companies from Russia, CHINA , Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus presented their products.
In just three days, more than 35 business events took place within the forum: seminars and master classes on various topics in the agricultural sector, various presentations and demonstrations from forum participants.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region initiated a number of round tables and meetings.
Thus, together with the Don Center of Competence in the field of agricultural cooperation and support for farmers, he organized a round table on the topic “On current issues in the development of small businesses in 2024. ” This year, the emphasis was placed on such important issues as: sales of products, provision of land plots to farmers without bidding, practical experience of agricultural aggregation in the Rostov region, interaction of the region with the People's Farmer Association, new capabilities of the competence center, new products and support from banking sector.
Meetings were also held on preparation for spring field work, agricultural insurance, soil fertility and others.
The Don Veterinary Department also took an active part in the agricultural forum, initiating three round tables.
In particular, within the framework of the round table “Registration and identification of farm animals”, it was noted that on March 1 of this year, the order of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia “On approval of veterinary rules for marking and recording of animals” came into force. In accordance with the document, animals are subject to individual or group marking and registration in order to prevent the spread of infectious animal diseases, as well as in order to identify the sources and routes of spread of pathogens of infectious animal diseases.
The topic of another round table is “Veterinary certification and confirmation of the safety of raw MILK.” The basis for issuing veterinary accompanying documents for raw milk are the results of laboratory tests. Thanks to certification, the veterinary service can control the process at any stage.
At the third round table, we discussed the prevention of particularly dangerous animal diseases - African plagueswine, highly pathogenic avian influenza, foot and mouth disease. It was noted that the protection of farm and domestic animals includes, first of all, the implementation of preventive measures, such as continuous epizootic monitoring of the condition of animals, preventive immunization, and timely exchange of information with relevant structures about the complications of the epizootic situation.
Scientific and educational institutions of the agro-industrial complex of the Rostov region also took an active part in the agricultural exhibition.
Thus, the Don State Agrarian University presented innovations in the field of agricultural engineering, organic farming, land reclamation and water management, veterinary medicine and food biotechnology at the South Russian forum. Some of the university's developments were exhibited in an open area. In particular, this year the ACII of Don State Agrarian University showed a line of energy-saving equipment for cultivating soil, caring for plants and harvesting. In
general, over the course of three days, the forum was visited by 10,000 people, including 50 delegations of farmers from the Rostov region, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories and new territories.
“The Agro-Industrial Forum of the South of Russia was remembered as a landmark event for the agricultural industry,” commented the Deputy Governor –Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region Konstantin Rachalovsky. “It has become a place to demonstrate innovations and achievements in various sectors related to agricultural production, as well as a platform for discussing the results and plans for the development of various sectors of the agro-industrial complex.”
