The allotments of Sergei Tyuftyaev are located in the village of Kiya. He grows vegetables and watermelons. Many residents of the regional capital have already purchased its products by visiting the trading floor.
And a resident of the village of Marusino, Alexander Kan, registered his farm in July 2018 and started growing not only watermelons, but also tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and peppers. This year, about 30 hectares are occupied by him under plantings, of which 5 hectares are under watermelons.
Both farmers note that this year melons on their fields gave an excellent harvest.
For agricultural producers in the region, state support is provided in the form of grants under the Agrostartup project and subsidies for the development of family farms. They are provided within the framework of the national project "Development of small and medium-sized businesses, creation of a system of cooperation and farming."
In 2021, 37.5 million rubles were allocated to the region for these purposes. Only KFH, LPH and agricultural consumer cooperatives can apply for such support. Having received support, farmers can expand their business, thereby increasing the volume of local products in the region.
Small forms of management in the agro-industrial complex of the region is the most numerous category, which is represented by 465 peasant or farm enterprises, including individual entrepreneurs. They include more than 85,000 citizens leading personal subsidiary plots, as well as 47 active agricultural consumer cooperatives. Last year, more than 78% of the total agricultural output of the region was produced by small forms.
