4.5 million tons of grain were threshed by grain growers of the Saratov region

To date, 4.5 million tons of grain have been harvested in the region. Daily threshing amounted to 169 thousand tons.
According to the latest data from the regional Ministry of Agriculture, as of August 17, the largest volume of grain was produced in five municipal districts: Pugachevsky - 262 thousand tons, Balashovsky - 250 thousand tons, Kalininsky - 224 thousand tons, Yekaterinovsky - 221 thousand tons, Engelssky - 200 thousand . tons.
More than 100,000 tons have been harvested in 18 districts of the region.
Harvesting of winter and spring grains, vegetables and potatoes continues. Farms in the region are sowing winter crops, ploughing, and nearing completion of forage harvesting.
“August is the peak of seasonal field work. Despite the fact that it is too early to give exact figures for the harvest, the forecasts for the harvest are optimistic,” says Roman Kovalsky, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government, Minister of Agriculture of the Region.
