Practical training will be held within the framework of the Union of Organic Farming project “Organic farming – new opportunities. The System and Practices of Responsible Land Use, Sustainable Development of Rural Territories” using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society provided by the Presidential Grants Fund. Agricultural producers will be trained in the production of organic pumpkin on the basis of the agricultural enterprise A.I. Grishko, Partizansky district, certified according to the Japanese standard JAS.
The training will be conducted by specialists from the KhKH A. I. Grishko, as well as the FGBOU VO Primorskaya State Agricultural Academy, the Primorsky branch of the Federal State Budget Institution Rosselkhoztsentr.
All over the world, organic vegetables are potentially interesting crops for small and medium-sized organic producers. Pumpkin can be grown using organic technologies in many regions, it is in demand, including for EXPORT, a seasonal product, as well as a raw material for numerous processed products, including for the first feeding for infants. Japan is a new promising market for RUSSIA. As part of the training, there will be a tasting of organic pumpkin dishes.
The branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoztsentr" in Primorsky Krai will tell about the unique experience of joint certification according to the Japanese organic system JAS using the example of Grishko A.I. (only 3 agricultural enterprises in Russia are certified according to this standard), will talk about its differences from the European one, about the processes of interaction with Japanese partners, export features, soil laboratory testing as part of the certification process, and verification of its compliance with organic production standards.
During the training, Primorskaya State Agricultural Academy will talk about the experience of interaction with a certified farmer, as a result of which a training course was developed, which included methods for growing organic products, based on the practice of a particular farm in the region and training opportunities for farmers planning organic production, with the issuance of a certificate. A group of participants will visit the Organic Farming Promotion Center at the Forest Nursery of the Primorskaya State Agricultural Academy.
LLC "Primorsky EM-Center" will present microbiological preparations produced in Russia using Japanese technology, which are used all over the world for growing organic products, restoring and purifying the soil, significantly increasing soil nutrients and humus up to 1% per season, as well as improving qualitative characteristics of grown products, including increasing their safety and shelf life.
The development of organic agriculture contributes to the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation V. Putin on the creation of domestic green brands in Russia (paragraph “e”, paragraph 2 of the List of instructions dated February 26, 2019 No. Pr-294), the implementation of the national project “Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and support of individual entrepreneurial initiative” (“Acceleration of SMEs”).
