2.5 million tons of wheat were threshed by grain growers of the Saratov region

“To date, the gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops in the region has amounted to over 2.8 million tons, including 2.5 million tons of wheat. 38% of sown areas have been harvested, the average yield is 33.3 q/ha. Over the past day, 246 thousand tons have been threshed,” said Roman Kovalsky, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government, Minister of Agriculture of the Region.
Growers of Balashovsky, Rtishchevsky, Samoilovsky, Ekaterinovsky, Kalininsky, Pugachevsky, Ershovsky, Krasnokutsky, Engelssky, Dergachevsky, Perelyubsky regions threshed 100,000 tons of grain each.
Balashovsky (48.8 c/ha), Sovetsky and Novoburassky (42 c/ha), Pugachevsky (41.2 c/ha), Ivanteevsky and Kalininsky (40 c/ha) districts of the region are leaders in grain yield.
According to the operational data of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, as of August 8, 95 thousand tons of rye, 54.7 thousand tons of barley, 30.3 thousand tons of peas and lentils were harvested.
2.6 thousand hectares of winter crops have been sown in the Ozinsky and Dergachevsky districts.
