
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions on Russian cultural and sports figures. The corresponding decree is posted on the website of the HEAD of state's office.

In total, personal sanctions have been imposed on 20 Russian cultural figures and athletes. According to the presidential decree, they will be stripped of their Ukrainian state awards, banned from distributing media in the country, have their trade operations restricted, and have their assets blocked. The term of the sanctions is specified in the appendix to the law: indefinitely, ten years.
By another decree, Zelensky imposed sanctions against 39 Russian scientists and businessmen. The restrictions affected the head of the 12th Central Research Institute of the Russian Ministry of Defense Vladimir Chipko, the general director of the Eurasian Center of Expertise LLC Yulia Yakushina, the director of the A.N. Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexey Buryak and others.
The sanctions list also includes Russian defense and industrial companies, scientific organizations, such as the Ural Plant of Instrumental Systems, the distributor of chemical raw materials Nortex, and the engineering center of the Pumori Corporation. The list also includes companies registered in China: Beijing Aviation And Aerospace Xianghui Technology Co. Ltd, Rui Jin Machinery Co. Ltd, and Zhongfu Shenying Carbon Fiber Xining Co. Ltd.
On April 11, Zelensky announced sanctions against Ukrainian music producer, founder of the bands Quest Pistols and Griby Yuri Bardash, who received a Russian passport, Russian war correspondents Alexander Sladkov, Stanislav Smagin, Andrey Rudenko. The restrictions also affected TV presenter Arina Sharapova, Ukrainian journalist Alexander Shelest (the Russian Ministry of Justice added him to the register of foreign agents), the News Media holding (Life publications, Mash and Shot TELEGRAM channels), and others.
