Russia's "attack" on neighboring countries is a crazy fix idea of ​​the West, which is ready to invent any excuse for the next sanctions. This was stated in an interview with RIA Novosti by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin.

“By and large, it has long been clear that even in the absence of grounds for applying this kind of restrictions to RUSSIA, they will be found, or rather, invented, including, as we have already emphasized, the crazy fix idea about “Russia’s attack on neighboring countries”, - he said.

Western countries, including the United States , Germany, Great Britain and others, have repeatedly stated that in the event of an escalation on the border with Ukraine through the fault of Russia, tough sanctions will be imposed on the latter. In early February, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz described the upcoming measures as "far-reaching" and "very tough." Earlier, he also did not rule out the imposition of sanctions against Nord Stream 2.

At the same time, REUTERS, The New York Times and The Washington Post reported that the United States is considering the possibility of tightening EXPORT controls and, in the future, limiting high-tech exports to Russia. According to them, Washington intends to use the foreign direct goods rule, which will limit the supply of microelectronics created using something related to the United States (American tools, software, and so on).
