YouTube has begun blocking channels of Russian media, which, in its opinion, are funded by the state. Video hosting has also suspended all monetization methods on its platform in Russia. Farshad Shadlu, spokesman for the company, announced this on his Twitter.
The channels RT, Sputnik, MIA Rossiya Segodnya, RBC were blocked, among other things.
RBC videos can now be watched on Russian platforms:
RUTUBE https://rutube.ru/channel/24141691/
VK: https://vk.com/rbc
Yandex.Zen: https://zen.yandex.ru/rbc.ru
According to Shadlou, materials about events in Ukraine that do not comply with the policy of the service will be removed from the video hosting.
“We also block YouTube channels associated with Russian state-funded media around the world,” he added.
