Vučić explains Serbia's position on sanctions against Russia

Serbia seeks to maintain an independent policy regarding sanctions against RUSSIA, but Belgrade cannot promise anything. This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, reports Kurir.rs.

“I do not promise anything, I only promise the people that we will protect our policy as much as we can. And this is my “as much as we can” is stronger than the oaths of everyone else in this country on the political stage, who swear on books, blood and so on,” the Serbian leader said.

Vučić spoke out against the appearance of foreign military bases in Serbia Politics

Vučić said that when the European Union says that there are six months left before accession, Serbia will align its policy with their demands and "be much fairer than some others."

MEPs have previously adopted a resolution requiring Serbia to join the EU sanctions against Russia.
