
Sweden and Finland refused the plane on which the speaker of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin was returning from Cuba to Russia in flight over their territory. Volodin announced this on his Telegram channel.

“Last night we returned to Moscow after an official visit to Cuba and Nicaragua. The route was agreed in advance, but the European countries refused to let us board. It happened when they were supposed to enter Swedish airspace,” he wrote.

According to him, due to the decision of Sweden and Finland, the travel time back to Russia has increased to 17 hours. The plane had enough fuel thanks to refueling in Cuba. In accordance with the route map published by Volodin, his plane had to fly over Sweden over Norway.
