Volodin believes that the development of Russia as a sovereign and strong state is unprofitable for the Americans. “Moreover, the very idea that our country can take its rightful place in the world is unacceptable for the United States and its allies,” he said. According to him, Russia needs to do everything possible to prevent "outside interference."

On April 15, US President Joe Biden ordered new sanctions against Russia, accusing Moscow of trying to influence the policies of the US and its allies, hacker attacks and complicity in international corruption. In addition, America expelled ten Russian diplomats.
