Polish Minister of Culture and Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Glinski criticized the European Union (EU) for maintaining sanctions on Warsaw and pointed out that the country is now spending a lot of resources to help refugees from Ukraine. He stated this to The Telegraph.
“The EU does not provide real material support. There are conversations. Promises are made. But we spend our money [on helping refugees]. We organize our people and we try to do our best in this situation. On the other hand, politically motivated sanctions against Poland continue to operate,” Glinsky said.
He also noted that Poland to date has received more than 2 million refugees from Ukraine and continues to provide them with the necessary assistance.

In addition, Glinsky did not agree with the idea of the French leader Emmanuel Macron to create a European army. According to him, this could "destabilize" the continent. “I prefer NATO. In my opinion, the role of the US and the UK is more important,” he added.
