Vekselberg ceased to be the owner of Airports of the Regions

The owner of the Renova group, Viktor Vekselberg, against whom US sanctions have been in force since April 2018 , no longer controls the management company (MC) of one of the largest airport holdings in RUSSIA, Airports of the Regions.

Since July 2020, 100% of the shares of Airports of Regions Management Company have been owned by Retrans, a representative of Airports of Regions told RBC. The airports themselves remained the property of Renova, there are no plans to sell them, a Renova representative told RBC. A team of key managers bought out the UK, which continued to manage the airports owned by Renova, he added.
