Western sanctions could not affect the emergency landing of a Ural Airlines plane in a field in the Novosibirsk region. This was stated by the airline's general DIRECTOR Sergei Skuratov during a press conference.

He noted that the organization has no problems with servicing the aircraft, despite difficulties with the supply of spare parts due to Western sanctions. “For Airbus maintenance. We had the ability to do all types of maintenance,” Skuratov said.

He added that the plane was not damaged externally. According to him, the airline will try to restore it, but he does not know when the plane will be removed from the emergency landing site.

An Airbus A320 of Ural Airlines made an emergency landing in the Novosibirsk region near the village of Ubinskoye, which is located between Omsk and Novosibirsk. The Federal Air Transport Agency clarified that the plane landed on a “site picked up from the air” near the village of Kamenka in the Ubinsky district of the region. The plane was heading from Sochi to Omsk.

There were 161 passengers and six crew members on board. No one was injured, but one person needed medical attention for high blood pressure.

The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic safety rules and operation of air transport), the punishment under it provides for imprisonment of up to two years.
