Eternal Flame turned off in Moldova due to energy crisis

The gas supply to the Eternal Flame at the Eternity memorial complex in Moldova has been temporarily suspended, the country's Ministry of Defense said.

The Ministry of Defense cut off gas due to the crisis in the energy sector of Moldova, the report says. The department noted that pressure had dropped in the gas supply pipes to the Eternal Flame, and the wind led to self-extinguishment even before the crisis. In this case, a natural gas leak could occur at the site of the complex, threatening public safety.

According to the ministry, civil servants have repeatedly turned to the specialists of the Chisinau-gaz company to correct the situation with the extinction of the Eternal Flame, but this time they asked the organization to completely turn off its gas supply.
