RUSSIA will not ask the European Union to lift sanctions, the country has a margin of safety, and the light has not converged on the EU, Nikolai Kobrinets, DIRECTOR of the department for pan-European cooperation of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“We will not act as petitioners in terms of lifting sanctions. We have a margin of safety. And the European Union is not the center of the universe. The world did not converge on him like a wedge, ”said the diplomat.

Also, according to him, confrontation with Russia is not beneficial for the EU, since anti-Russian sanctions negatively affect the lives of ordinary Europeans.
