Deputy HEAD of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Pankin urged to be realistic. In his opinion, sanctions against RUSSIA will remain forever

it will not be possible to “turn back” the sanctions imposed by Western countries against Russia, Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin believes. Speaking at parliamentary hearings in the State Duma, he urged deputies to be realistic, TASS reports.

“There has always been a regime of sanctions. And it will stay forever, let's be realistic. Sanctions are already embodied in many legislative acts, American and other states, and it will be impossible to unscrew them back, ”Pankin said.

Repeating Moscow's position that the sanctions against Russia are not legitimate, the deputy minister added that they were introduced "under very shaky pretexts", without any evidence. But “there is no turning back those facts that are presented as perfect,” Pankin believes.

The Deputy Foreign Minister added that Russia would not ask for sanctions to be lifted from it: “It is clear that we will not give up Crimea.”
