In 2019, cheese production in Belarus increased by 18.5%, while production of SCM decreased by 31.8%.

In 2019, according to Deputy HEAD of the Main Department of Processing Industry, Maria Klimova, 249.8 thousand tons of fatty cheeses were produced (+18.5%), butter production increased by 0.6% to 115.6 thousand tons, while production of dry whey increased by 25.3% to 118.8 thousand tons. 
 
 
 
At the same time, production of whole-milk products decreased by 0.5% to 2011.2 thousand tonnes, production of COM decreased by 2.4% to 125.9 thousand tonnes, while production of SCM fell by 31.8% to 24.2 thousand tonnes. 
 
In the structure of MILK processing in the Republic of Belarus, the share of raw materials used for cheese production is 32%, whole-milk products 25%, butter 36%, canned milk 3%, and SCM 3%. The share of cheese is growing (+4 p.p. in 2019), the share of other dairy products is decreasing.
