The EU COURT of Justice denied the former governor of Sevastopol, Dmitry Ovsyannikov, the suspension of sanctions while his application for removal from the sanctions list is being considered. This is evidenced by the database of the court.

“The President of the Court ruled: the application for a delay was rejected,” the message says.

Ovsyannikov complained that the sanctions prevent him from doing business in Cyprus, the court clarified.

The governor of Sevastopol was included in the sanctions list of the European Union Politics

The European Union placed Ovsyannikov on the sanctions list in 2017 in connection with actions that “threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.” In justifying the reasons for the imposition of sanctions, in particular, it was said that Ovsyannikov was elected governor of Sevastopol in September 2017 in elections "organized by RUSSIA in the illegally annexed Sevastopol."
