The United States imposed sanctions against the chairman of Novikombank (owned by Rostec), Elena Georgieva, said Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, follows from a message on the website of the department.

“We are imposing sanctions on oligarchs who support [Russian President Vladimir] Putin,” Blinken tweeted.

In addition, the list included three more members of the bank's board, four top managers of ABR Management (which manages the assets of Rossiya Bank). Their names are not specified. Businessmen Yuri Kovalchuk and Kirill Kovalchuk, Chairman of the Board of Rossiya Bank Dmitry Lebedev and Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Knyaginin were sanctioned.

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance had already listed ten VTB board members and 12 State Duma deputies who “led efforts” to recognize the DPR and LPR, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, his wife Tatyana Navka and adult children.
