US imposes sanctions against Russian chip developer

The Russian microchip manufacturer PKK Milandr is on the US sanctions list, according to a statement on the website of the US Treasury Department.

According to the department, Milur Electronics was engaged in placing orders with foreign factories, manufacturing integrated circuits and selling abroad, Milur SA was used by employees and business partners of Milandra to coordinate financial transfers to Milur Electronics, and through Sharp Edge Engineering Inc. microelectronic components were purchased from Asian companies.

The general director of PKK Milandr and Milur Electronics Mikhail Pavlyuk and two more employees of Milur SA were also subject to sanctions .
