The US Treasury has expanded anti-Russian sanctions , and Pobeda Airlines has come under restrictions, according to a message published on the department’s website.

The restrictions against it are justified by the fact that the company is engaged in activities “in a sector of the economy of the Russian Federation intended to support the military-industrial base of RUSSIA.” The US Treasury Department allowed the supply of goods and services to the airline to continue until July 30, 2024 .

Also subject to sanctions were the structures of the Sibanthracite group - Razrez Kolyvansky JSC, Sibanthracite Heating Network LLC, Sibanthracite Port Services LLC, Sibanthracite Management Company LLC. In total, the new sanctions package includes almost 300 individuals and legal entities, as well as organizations. The US Treasury introduced restrictions against about 200 of them, and more than 80 more were subject to sanctions from the State Department.

In addition to Russians and Russian structures, the new US sanctions package includes companies from Azerbaijan, Belgium, CHINA , Slovakia, Turkey and the UAE. Washington explained the introduction of restrictions against them by the fact that they help Moscow circumvent sanctions and purchase equipment abroad.

The sanctioned vessels are indicated separately in the list. There are 16 of them, all of them are related to NOVATEK projects, in particular, Arctic LNG-2.

Russia considers the sanctions imposed against the country, its citizens and companies illegal and demands their lifting. President Vladimir Putin acknowledged that the restrictions will remain for a long time.
