The US Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions on Transadria and the Marlin vessel, which are involved in the implementation of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project. This was reported on the website of the department.
Transadria Ltd, registered in Cyprus, has been added to the SDN (U.S. government sanctions/embargo measure against U.S.-appointed terrorists, officials and beneficiaries of certain authoritarian regimes, and international criminals) list of SDNs.
“The following vessel has been added to the OFAC SDN list: Marlin, a Russian-flagged maritime support vessel <...> (linked to: Transadria Ltd),” the ministry added.

In early November, a group of Republican senators proposed new sanctions against the pipeline. The initiative included an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) bill for fiscal year 2022.
