Zelensky suggested that the UN Security Council dissolve itself Politics
On April 5, Zelensky called for the exclusion of Russia from the UN Security Council, and also suggested that he dissolve himself. According to him, the UN Security Council must make decisions that will lead to peace in Ukraine. “Or show how you can reformat. Or if your current format is uncontested and there is no way out, then only self-dissolution," he said.
In early March, Zelensky also demanded that Russia be expelled from the organization's Security Council. At the same time, representatives of the countries - permanent members of the Security Council rejected this possibility. Thus, the permanent representative of Britain to the UN, Barbara Woodward, said that there were no grounds for suspending Russia's membership.
