The United States has temporarily canceled export privileges for the Russian cargo company Aviastar-TU, Reuters reported, citing the country's Commerce Department.

The agency explained this decision by "continuing violations of the comprehensive export controls imposed on Russia."

On April 7, similar measures were introduced against Aeroflot, Utair and Azur Air. They were deprived of access to products from the United States, as well as the re-export of American goods from other countries. The restrictions are valid for 180 days, but the Ministry of Trade did not rule out that it could be extended.

On February 24, the United States imposed restrictions on the export of aviation products to Russia, according to which aircraft manufactured in the United States or containing more than 25% of American-made parts must receive a special license. Then these measures were extended to Belarus.

In early March, the United States closed the skies to Russian aircraft. The restrictions apply, among other things, to flights of all Aeroflot, Yakutia, Nordwind Airlines, Azur Air and AirBridgeCargo Airlines ships. After that, Boeing stopped servicing Russian aircraft and supplying spare parts to the country.

That same month, the U.S. Department of Commerce banned 100 commercial and private aircraft from flying to Russia after the sanctions were imposed, violating export controls. The list includes aircraft from Aviastar-TU, Aeroflot, Utair, Azur Air and AirBridgeCargo. The agency warned that refueling, maintaining, repairing such aircraft, and selling spare parts for them are contrary to export regulations, and violators face prison, fines, loss of export rights and other restrictions.
