The interlocutors of the agency refused to disclose which sanctions could be lifted. This could include sanctions related to the nuclear deal, as well as terrorism, missile development and human rights. No final decisions have been made yet, according to AP sources.

In early April, the United States announced its intention to return to negotiations on a nuclear deal with Iran through intermediaries. According to State Department spokesman Ned Price, Washington understands the need to ease sanctions against Tehran, which run counter to the nuclear deal, but at the same time does not consider calls to lift all restrictions unilaterally constructive.

Work to restore the nuclear deal with Iran is being carried out in Vienna. The expert groups on the lifting of sanctions and on nuclear issues should draw up a list of steps to return to full implementation of the agreement.
