Switzerland joined the 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions

The restrictions previously introduced by the European Union included 106 individuals and 88 legal entities. The list of goods that are prohibited from exporting to RUSSIA has also been expanded.

Switzerland has joined the European restrictions against Russia contained in the 13th package of sanctions. The Swiss government reported this .

“The Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER), responsible for sanctions , decided on February 29 to impose additional sanctions against Russia. Thus, Switzerland joins the 13th package of sanctions of the European Union,” the message says. The measures came into force at 18:00 (20:00 Moscow time) on March 1.

The European Union approved the 13th package of sanctions against Russia on February 23 . The restrictions were extended to 106 individuals and 88 legal entities. The list of goods prohibited for EXPORT to Russia was expanded, and possible components for the development and assembly of drones were added to it.

27 organizations that the EU accused of supporting the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Russia were also subject to export restrictions . Some of them are located in India, Turkey, CHINA, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Serbia and Sri Lanka.

On the same day, the United States tightened sanctions against Russia . The restrictive measures, among others, included the operator of the Mir payment system - the National Payment Card System (NSCP) and the manufacturer of premium cars Aurus. The UK , Australia , CANADA , New Zealand and Japan also introduced new sanctions .

After the European Union introduced another package of restrictions, the Kremlin said that there was nothing fundamentally new in them. Russia considers Western sanctions illegal.
