Against the backdrop of the military operation in Ukraine and unprecedented sanctions against Moscow from the West, the management of Skolkovo synchronized with the tasks set by the Russian government, Igor Drozdov, head of the Skolkovo Foundation, said in an interview with RBC.
“We [the Skolkovo Foundation], in fact, have synchronized with the tasks that the government sets for itself. First of all, we discuss working issues with employees, how we should adjust the activities of the fund in order to be useful to start-ups in the current situation. I often talk with colleagues, my task is to inspire them, inspire optimism and positivity so that they remain emotionally stable, focused on work and results, ”he said.

According to Drozdov, the current situation is "motivating", however, despite external restrictions, the work schedule at Skolkovo remains "reasonable". “My favorite rhetorical question is: “When will everything be smooth?” But in a sense, there is more drive; difficulties,” he said.

In turn, the rector of the Skoltech Institute, Alexander Kuleshov, told RBC that, despite the special operation and the difficulties in his work, he did not break personal relations with anyone. “I didn’t break off relations with anyone. A couple of days ago, our former professor, a Frenchman, sent an absolutely amazing letter - you can read it on Channel One in the program of [Vladimir] Solovyov - he wrote: what bastards the Americans are, and how right you are in everything, ”he pointed out.

The previous chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation, former Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, resigned in mid-March.
This happened after an interview with the American edition of Mother Jones, where Dvorkovich advocated a peaceful settlement in Ukraine. In addition, as the head of the International Chess Federation (FIDE), he said that he was seeking to deprive RUSSIA and Belarus of holding international chess tournaments. And later he made a new statement - that he was sincerely proud of "the courage of our soldiers", but added that "the main thing is that a strong peace and a more just order will eventually be established on our planet."
Secretary of the United Russia General Council Andrey Turchak then called for the immediate dismissal of Dvorkovich from Skolkovo, saying that "self-purification of our society" should be started from the fund. The Kremlin then noted that the decision to leave the head of the fund should be made by himself.
