Russia has banned 22 Britons from entering the country - employees of government agencies, legal and IT companies; the sanctions list is published on the Foreign Ministry website.
“Among them are employees of British companies, in particular Micro Focus, which provide Ukrainian security agencies with software and cyber defense services necessary in the process of collecting data in order to strike Russian troops and infrastructure,” the report said.
Among the representatives of Micro Focus (we are talking about the companies Micro Focus Group Limited and Micro Focus Limited), entry was denied to sales director Stuart McGill, ex-financial director Christopher Musker, former top manager Rupert Green, former chief financial officer Matthew Ashley, a member of the company's board Mark Wilkinson.
Also sanctioned were representatives of Cisco: Director of Consulting Services Chris Reeves and Director of Government and Corporate Affairs Matthew Houlihan.
In addition to them, representatives of the TechUK association, Helsing, Improbable, NEC Software Solutions, Skyral Defense, the UK Department of Enterprise and Trade and the law firm Fieldfisher were sanctioned .
The Foreign Ministry noted that the sanctions also included “individuals involved in attempts to force economic operators in Central Asian states to comply with illegitimate unilateral restrictions imposed by the West.”
