Brazil has allowed the import of Russian beef. This is reported by ROSSELKHOZNADZOR.
Rosselkhoznadzor noted that work on this has been underway since 2015 and culminated on August 27 with an agreement with the Secretariat for the Protection of Plants and Animals of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply. “A veterinary certificate was signed for the EXPORT of beef and beef products, accompanied by which such deliveries from the Russian Federation to Brazil can be started immediately,” the message says.
The agency noted that at the moment the right to supply these products has been granted to one Russian enterprise - Bryansk MEAT Company LLC.
In Spain, there was an outbreak of listeriosis due to low-quality meat Society
In mid-August, the analytical company GfK published data, according to which Russians reduced their purchases of meat products by 4.3% over the year. In monetary terms, sales remained almost unchanged. Sales of beef decreased the most - by 7% per year. For poultry, the drop was 5.2%, pork - 3%. Sausage sales fell 4.4%. The overall drop in sales is due to an increase in meat prices, the development of the culinary market, the development of food delivery services and the trend towards healthy eating, experts pointed out.
