Roskosmos recalled its employees from the Kourou cosmodrome due to sanctions

Roskosmos will suspend cooperation with European partners and stop conducting launches from the Kourou cosmodrome in French Guiana due to anti-Russian sanctions, said the HEAD of the state corporation Dmitry Rogozin in TELEGRAM.

“In response to EU sanctions against our enterprises, Roskosmos is suspending cooperation with European partners in organizing space launches from the Kourou cosmodrome and withdrawing its technical personnel, including the consolidated launch crew, from French Guiana,” he wrote.

Western countries have imposed sanctions against Russia because of the military operation on the territory of Ukraine, which began on February 24. In particular, this was done by the EU, the usa and CANADA, Japan and Australia are also studying the possibility of imposing restrictions.
