Putin announced the default declared by the US and the EU against Russia

Having frozen the Russian reserves, the US and the European Union actually declared a default on their obligations to RUSSIA. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting of the Security Council .

“Illegitimate actions to freeze part of the Bank of Russia's foreign exchange reserves draw a line under the reliability of the so-called first-class assets. In fact, both the US and the EU have declared a real default on their obligations to Russia,” the president said.

According to him, now everyone in the world knows that the country's financial reserves "can be simply stolen."

Putin also accused the West of trying to split Russian society, create civil strife, and "destroy Russia." “Russia will never be in a miserable and humiliated state <...>. We will fight for the right to be and remain Russia,” he added.
