The Russian economy is adequately coping with the sanctions, but the situation is “difficult” and requires special efforts from the economic bloc of the government, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
“The Russian economy withstands the sanctions blow, it withstands very worthily,” Putin said.
According to him, "all the main macroeconomic indicators" speak about this.
“Yes, of course, everything is not easy. Everything that is happening requires special attention and special efforts from the economic bloc of the government,” the president continued.
However, he added, in general, "these efforts have a positive effect," which is also reflected "in the level of trade" between RUSSIA and Belarus.
