White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki promised to seek advice after the statement by the head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, about Russia's plans to withdraw from the International Space Station project. She announced this at an official briefing broadcast by NBC News.

“This is a very interesting question, I didn’t know much about this topic until you asked, I probably need to talk to our homeland security team. I will say this: working together on issues related to space is one of the areas in which we have historically worked with Russia, ”she answered the corresponding question of a journalist.

Psaki added that she needs to take a closer look at the reasons for the US imposing sanctions on Russian space companies and seek appropriate advice from the national security team.

Rogozin denied reports of readiness to extend the work of the ISS until 2030 Society

The fact that Russia decided to abandon the use of the ISS and create its own orbital station was first announced by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov. He clarified that Russia intends to warn the station partners about withdrawing from the project from 2025.
