Lada sales have increased by 96% since the beginning of 2023 - in total, over 242 thousand new cars were sold, the AvtoVAZ press service told RBC.

At the end of September 2023, 36,231 Lada passenger and commercial vehicles were sold in RUSSIA, which is 8.7% higher than August 2023 and is the best result over the past two years. In just nine months in Russia, official Lada dealers sold 242,552 new cars, which is 96% higher than the same period in 2022.

The press service clarified that Lada Vesta updated its maximum sales since March 2022 : during September, 7,301 cars of this model were sold. In total, more than 24 thousand new generation Lada Vestas have been sold since the start of sales.

Sales of Lada Granta in September amounted to 19,913 units. This is a new sales record since the start of production (the model has been manufactured since 2011).

In September, 4070 Niva Legend were sold , which is the best figure since 2014, and 4295 Niva Travel .

AvtoVAZ noted that “despite the increased sanctions pressure,” more than 118 thousand cars were produced in the third quarter of 2023, which is 1.7 times higher than production volumes in the second quarter. Also, from September 2023, all three production lines in Togliatti were transferred to maximum operating speed. According to the company, compared to August, car production in September increased by 17% (from 39,891 units to 46,909 units).

“The direct inclusion of a company in the sanctions lists currently does not have a significant impact on our work, although we cannot exclude the emergence of secondary factors over which AvtoVAZ has no influence - for example, the passage of foreign payments or the regularity of supplies of materials or subcomponents to our direct suppliers. We are making every effort to mitigate these risks in our area of ​​competence,” said AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov.
