Gazprombank and Moscow Credit Bank (MCB) mobile apps have been unavailable for download in the App Store since April 13, the financial institutions' press services reported.

"Existing apps work as before, all services are available without restrictions, and we recommend new clients use online banking," Gazprombank said on its TELEGRAM channel.

Users of the MKB app, "To Money," are advised not to delete it and to disable automatic updates on their iPhones. "To access MKB Online, use the online banking app adapted for smartphones," MKB stated on its Telegram channel.

Gazprombank and MKB added that work is underway to return mobile applications to the App Store.

The day before, on April 12, Gazprombank's mobile app experienced restrictions, with authorization times for some users increasing. The financial institution attributed this to communication difficulties.

Following the start of the military operation in Ukraine, Gazprombank and MKB were subject to US sectoral sanctions . They were restricted from financing and other transactions involving debt obligations with maturities exceeding 14 days and from issuing new shares.

In June 2022, Gazprombank announced the removal of its mobile app from the App Store, and in August it disappeared fromGOOGLE PLAY. The original MKB mobile app also disappeared from the App Store in June 2022. In January 2023, clients were offered the option to install apps on iPhones at bank branches. Two months later, Google Play removed the MKB Online app.
