Polish Prime Minister called the migration crisis Russia's "neo-imperial policy"

RUSSIA is involved in the migration crisis on the Belarusian-Polish border, and in its actions there is a manifestation of neo-imperial policy, said Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, speaking at an extraordinary meeting of the Polish Sejm. This is stated in the Twitter account of the lower house of parliament.

“Russia's neo-imperial policy is progressing. We are watching these steps. The latest attack by [Belarusian President Alexander] Lukashenko, whose trustee is in Moscow,” he said. According to Morawiecki, Moscow intends to restore the Russian Empire, and Poland must resist such a scenario.

If not for the actions of the Polish government, then its border with Belarus would have turned out to be “virtual”, and “tens of thousands of people brought by Lukashenka” would have passed through it in order to destabilize the situation in Poland and destroy the unity of the EU, summed up the Polish prime minister.

The situation on the border of Poland and Belarus escalated the day before, when a convoy of migrants began to move towards Poland in order to enter the country. The Belarusian border service claimed that “the indifference and inhuman attitude of the Polish authorities” prompted the refugees to “take such a step of desperation”.
