The US sanctions are becoming more and more absurd, they testify to Washington's desperation due to "the inability to bend Moscow to its will." This is stated in a message published on the TELEGRAM channel of the Russian Embassy in Washington.

“It’s time to understand that we can’t be intimidated by restrictions. The goals and objectives of the special military operation in Ukraine will be fulfilled in any case, the embassy stressed. “Local ruling circles should pay attention that instead of the upheavals they expect in our country, anti-Russian measures will harm the United States itself.”

The United States declared the Russian military-industrial complex the target of the following sanctions Politics

On April 20, Washington announced new sanctions against RUSSIA. The US State Department imposed visa restrictions on 635 Russians, and the country's Ministry of Finance announced the imposition of sanctions on 29 individuals and 40 legal entities from Russia.

Two days earlier, U.S. Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo said the next round of U.S. sanctions would aim to "take apart the Russian military machine piece by piece, including restrictions on the military-industrial complex and its supply chains."

The United States and Western countries have been massively imposing sanctions on Russia since the end of February. The banking sector, in particular VTB, Sberbank, Alfa-Bank and other Russian financial organizations, fell under Washington's restrictions. In addition, the US Treasury has banned American individuals and legal entities from transactions with the Bank of Russia, the National Wealth Fund and the Russian Treasury.

The restrictions also affected Russian companies, businessmen and politicians. The United States has imposed personal restrictions, including on Russian President Vladimir Putin and other high-ranking officials.
