
The Russian Embassy in the United States welcomes the plans of Washington and Havana to hold consultations and calls on the American side to abandon the policy of sanctions and blockade. This is stated in a statement published on the page of the diplomatic mission on Twitter.
“We welcome the new round of high-level talks between Havana and Washington scheduled for April 21st. Dialogue is always better than no dialogue. <...> It is high time for the United States to abandon the fruitless course of a blockade and sanctions in foreign policy,” the statement said.
