The diplomatic mission added that the Canadian sanctions are based on lies and falsification of history, "contradict not only international law, but also humanitarian principles." The embassy called them "absolutely hopeless."
Canada has imposed restrictions against two individuals and four legal entities. Among them are Alexander Ganov, CEO of Grand Service Express (operator of railway communication with Crimea), Leonid Ryzhenkin, HEAD of Mostotrest, JSC Lenpromtransproekt, Federal State Unitary Enterprise Crimean Railway, Crimean First Insurance Company, JSC Railway Construction Department Berkakit - Tommot - Yakutsk.
