The embassy called unpromising Canadian sanctions on Crimea

The new Canadian sanctions imposed due to the annexation of Crimea to RUSSIA ignore reality and will not interfere with Russian companies. This was stated by the Russian Embassy in CANADA, TASS reports.

“No matter how much the Western patrons of the Kyiv regime “punish” the builders and operators of the railway connecting the peninsula with Russia, it works successfully and will serve the good of our country,” the report says.

The diplomatic mission added that the Canadian sanctions are based on lies and falsification of history, "contradict not only international law, but also humanitarian principles." The embassy called them "absolutely hopeless."

Canada has imposed restrictions against two individuals and four legal entities. Among them are Alexander Ganov, CEO of Grand Service Express (operator of railway communication with Crimea), Leonid Ryzhenkin, HEAD of Mostotrest, JSC Lenpromtransproekt, Federal State Unitary Enterprise Crimean Railway, Crimean First Insurance Company, JSC Railway Construction Department Berkakit - Tommot - Yakutsk.
