On February 23, the United States imposed new sanctions against RUSSIA, marking the second anniversary of the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine . Six Chinese companies, which, according to the US Treasury Department, supplied microelectronics, including those of "foreign origin," to Russia, were included in the "sanctions evasion" section of the SDN List. These companies are:
Jiangxi Liansheng Technology; Guangzhou Ausay Technology; Guangzhou Hesen Import andEXPORT ; Yilufa Electronics Limited; Shenzhen Biguang Trading; New Idea Guangzhou Technology.Including a company on the SDN list means blocking all its assets in the United States and prohibiting American persons from interacting with it.
The European Union also imposed sanctions against several Chinese companies on the same day: they were added to the list of organizations to which the EU prohibits the sale of dual-use technologies and goods for the development of the Russian defense and security sector.
