The Ambassador predicted the actions of the United States in the event of Ukraine's accession to Russia

The United States will impose sanctions against Russia if it annexes Ukraine. This was stated by former US Ambassador to Kyiv John Herbst, RIA Novosti reports.

“I believe that indeed Russian aggression is a threat and cannot be ignored. If that happens, I think the United States will impose very serious sanctions,” Herbst said.

He noted that the accession of Ukraine could destroy the Russian economy.
